Seller's Notes

HIGHLIGHTS:

-Cold A/C! Power windows!

-350 V8!

-TH350 automatic transmission!

-Power steering & power front disc brakes!

This 1970 Chevrolet El Camino is a quintessential muscle machine that perfectly captures the bold attitude of the early seventies. Screaming for attention in Hugger Orange with classic white stripes, this car-truck warrior trades subtle styling for pure curb appeal. Under the hood is a dependable 350ci V8 paired with a smooth TH350 3-speed automatic transmission and a stout 12-bolt rear end. Complete with comfort features like air conditioning and power windows, this El Camino is a turn-key cruiser that is ready to bring some vintage thunder to your local car scene!

BODY OVERVIEW:

The sheet metal on this El Camino presents as a very solid example, maintaining straight lines and structure both up top and underneath. Because this is an older restoration that has spent time doing what classic Chevys do best (driving!), the undercarriage exhibits typical signs of age and road use rather than clinical, fresh-off-the-rotisserie perfection. It is a solid, honest foundation that has avoided the structural pitfalls common to these utility coupes, giving you a sturdy platform you can actually drive without constant anxiety and cleaning. Looking underneath this El Camino, and you’ll see a lot of exactly what you want to see: clean, original metal.

PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW:

The Hugger Orange paint with white stripes is an older repaint that is still sure to command respect, offering a great shine and showing very well. Up close, it reveals itself as a beautiful "driver-quality" paint job, bearing a realistic collection of character marks including scratches, dings, chips, and minor cracks consistent with its age. It is the kind of finish that looks fantastic under the lights of a local cruise-in but spares you from losing sleep if a rogue pebble flips up on the highway! The SS badging combined with the stripes really puts this El Camino over the edge, and it absolutely turns heads wherever you take it!

INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW:

Inside the cabin, you are greeted by a well-appointed tan cloth and vinyl interior that serves as a warm contrast to the bright orange exterior. The comfort options are highly impressive for 1970, featuring power windows, a tilt steering column, and cold air conditioning to keep things comfortable during summer cruises. An AM/FM stereo sits in the dashboard, and the overall upholstery and trim present a clean, inviting space that makes long stretches behind the wheel a pleasure. Overall, the interior is in nice condition and shows well, but it isn’t fresh so there are some minor signs of age and use present.

MECHANICAL OVERVIEW:

The 350ci V8 in the engine bay is dressed to impress, featuring an Edelbrock aluminum intake, a Quadrajet 4-barrel carburetor, orange aftermarket Chevrolet-script valve covers, and a chrome Edelbrock air cleaner. A Champion aluminum radiator with a chrome cover keeps the small-block running cool, while power front disc brakes ensure confident stopping power. The soundtrack is handled by longtube headers feeding into a dual exhaust system complete with a crossover pipe and Flowmaster mufflers, giving this Chevy a deep, authoritative rumble that announces your arrival long before you come into view! This El Camino fires easily, and runs smoother than one would expect. The throttle is very responsive, and though its no big block, this El Camino can sure get up and go when you want it to! From a mechanical standpoint, this is a stout little cruiser that seems ready to go.

WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR:

You will love the pure nostalgia and immediate attention that comes with driving a Hugger Orange Mopar-eater with a throaty Flow
