Few classic Ferraris evoke a level of intense enthusiasm as the 250 GTO. Conceived by the company to compete in Group 3 GT racing, it featured a modified variant of the chassis used in the 250 GT SWB and the 30.L Tipo 168/62 V12 used in the 250 Testa Rossa. Debuting at the 1962 iteration of the 12 Hours of Sebring where the car finished second overall despite competing against the much quicker prototypes, the 250 GTO won the International Championship in their class for 1962-1964, solidifying its legacy in Ferrari’s long-running motorsport history.

With only 36 250 GTOs produced in total and a lasting legacy, the car’s value rose stratospherically in the late 1970s. Today, 250 GTOs routinely fetch over $50 million – one sold privately in 2018 was reported to have netted over $70 million. Naturally, with such small production and such high value, it is no wonder that several companies have produced recreations of the model. For the production of "Vanilla Sky" starring Tom Cruise, the team located a 250 GTO Tribute built by Alpha 1 - just like the one offered here. Among the best known and built recreations of the 250 GTO, Alpha 1 was launched by Joe Alphabet after he purchased molds developed by Eagle Engineering in the early 1980s. Using Datsun Z-car chassis and engines with custom fiberglass bodywork, these cars were produced in small quantities by hand, making surviving examples quite rare.

The magnificent 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO Coupe Tribute featured here is finished in classic Rosso Corsa (Racing Red) over a Nero (Black) interior. This incredible recreation virtually cannot be told from the original and is fitted with a desirable and reliable 280Z Inline-6, ensuring it is an absolute joy to drive. We are proud to offer this extremely rare and sought-after replica to the most sophisticated enthusiast who wants to drive and enjoy this tribute to one of the world's most valuable and iconic motorcars!
