1966 Dodge Dart

Just in time for those sunny summer drives on those old country roads with the top down with the wind blowing though your hair !! This "Original Survivor" 1966 Dodge Dart GT Convertible would be great to enjoy those days. This Dart GT has the 4.2 liter 225 cu inline 6 cylinder engine with a 1 barrel Holley carburetor that is better known as the "slant 6 engine" and they are almost bullet proof. The engine is backed with the original "torqueflite" 3-speed automatic transmission along with other options like power steering and power brakes. This Dart GT has the rare option also of a power convertible top. A few upgrades have been done to this Dart like a new convertible top was replaced in 2013 with a new black cloth top instead of the original vinyl top and it still looks great. The original brake booster and master cylinder has been replaced with a new chrome power brake booster and dual line master cylinder for better brakes. The gas tank was also replaced with a new tank and sender unit. The original steering wheel was replaced with a more sporty wheel but the stock steering wheel comes with the car. Replaced the original AM radio with a aftermarket Kenwood AM-FM-CD Stereo that sounds great. replaced the original 13 inch steel wheels with newer model 1967-68 Dodge Rally rims, center caps and stainless trim rings with a matching set of 195/75R14 Travel star all season radial tires that still look like new. Plus the original 13 inch steel wheels and dog dash hub caps and a full set of tires that are shown in the pictures. This Dart had a new base/coat clear/coat paint job almost 2 years ago and it still looks great. The only reason for the repaint was the paint was faded and dull looking. It looks to be the original red interior in the car it is in really good condition along with the factory bucket seats. If you are in question about this car being a rear GT package then do your homework like I did with the picture of the trim tag posted. The info that I found was the Dart GT was offered with the 6 cylinder engine along with bucket seats and no center console. The Dart GT cars with a V-8 engine had the center console.
