The 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 is a rear-engine sports car most famously known for its role as the modified time machine in the Back to the Future film trilogy. It was the only model manufactured by John DeLorean’s original DeLorean Motor Company before the company faced bankruptcy and legal turmoil.
