Purchased new at Blinder Oldsmobile in Mason City Iowa on August 12, 1968 by Otis Stoll of Forest City Iowa celebrating his retirement. Inherited by his son in 1990 of McAllen, Texas. Orig Protect-O-Plate.
Represented as 24.000 miles by both estates, unfortunately not enough documentation to prove, other than the condition of the vehicle and lack of wear - it also drives and handles as though it was a one or two year old trade-in on the Oldsmobile lot. Title will read exempt due to age, and is being represented as such.
Beautifully refinished paint,, halo vinyl top, interior, glass, chrome is original. Even has all 4 T3 original, working headlights.
6 way Power seat functions in all directions. All of the windows work.
Air conditioning blows cold, still on the old R12 Freon. Previous owner stated he adds 1 can every spring - includes a couple of cans in the trunk.
AM Radio and clock do not work, there is a factory AM-FM included in the trunk, working condition is unknown. -I just use a blue tooth speaker with my old cars. Tilt-Telescoping Steering Wheel- the rim-blow horn becomes inop on these over age, so a button was added.
Tires are date coded 2024. Recent Shocks.
Beautiful, dark moss cloth interior the screams "1968", original floor mat. One slight rip in the headliner by the sunvisor - see pic. 2 minute chips in the glass, well below the driver's line of vision, that appear to have been repaired at some time. Love that size 15 accelerator pedal, the rolling drum speedometer and the Triple A sticker offering a $200 reward if the car is recovered after a theft!
Incredibly responsive, choke engages properly. No shakes, shimmies, rattles.
Hideaway headlamps function perfectly and add to that cool, menacing "Get outta my way!" face.
