2019 Nissan GT-R — 4.1L Built VR38DETT Twin-Turbo Build
This 2019 Nissan GT-R is a heavily modified, no-expense-spared performance build centered around a 4.1L VR38DETT engine built by Lynchmob Racing. Already legendary for its all-wheel-drive performance and supercar-killing reputation, this GT-R has been taken to a much higher level with a fully built engine, upgraded turbo system, serious fueling, MoTeC engine management, and a built ShepTrans transmission.
The heart of the build is the 4.1L VR38DETT, upgraded with Manley 300M connecting rods, custom LMR-spec Wiseco pistons, Ferrea +1mm valves, Ferrea double springs and retainers, Tomei 274 camshafts, CNC port work, ARP studs, and a Command Performance billet girdle. Supporting the engine are premium components including an AMS Alpha billet flywheel, AMS Alpha billet oil pan, ATI damper, and Command Performance billet valley brace.
Power is delivered through an ETS turbo kit using Garrett G30-900 G-Series turbos, paired with ETS 3-inch intakes, ETS Race intercooler, 3-inch intercooler piping from The Shop Houston, Tial MVR wastegates, Tial blow-off valves, and Vibrant HD clamps throughout. The fuel system is equally serious, with ID2600 secondary injectors, a Visconti billet triple 525lph fuel basket, Fore F2i fuel pressure regulator, flex fuel system, and full supporting fuel pressure monitoring.
To manage everything properly, this GT-R is equipped with a MoTeC M150 kit, Boost Logic boost control, Visconti electronics, multiple AEM pressure sensors, ethanol monitoring, and turbo speed monitoring. The drivetrain is also built to match with a ShepTrans 1K transmission with drag pack, making this a well-rounded build designed to handle major power.
