58,879 miles
1950 Ford Custom Tudor Sedan Yes, a quarter million families now own two find cars - and both of them are Fords! These families are enjoying the convenience other people dream about. And they've found that two Fords cost little more than one high priced car. Fords are thrifty to buy, thrifty to run, and there's less dollar depreciation at trade in time! From a 1950 Ford print ad. For consignment, a 1950 Ford Custom Tudor sedan with a title verified 58,879 actual miles, however this may not be accurate as the odometer is non functional. Chopped, shaved, and sitting on a 1991 Thunderbird chassis, this custom Custom combines old school looks with some updated components and it's fantastic at any angle! Exterior Sitting low, but looking lower thanks to the 2 chop, the Ford presents in Hot Rod Satin Black paint, an old school finish that ultimately became the catalyst for modern matte finishes. It's adorned with hand applied green and white pinstriping throughout including a large flourish on the nose and shaved decklid, and spider web designs on the visor. The aptly named Antifreeze Green Metallic covers the roof with contrasting color and a glossy application, and a power sunroof has been added. 15-inch wheels wear chrome ripple covers and are wrapped in 75 series white wall tires while mock capped side pipes also add some more chrome. But that's not where it ends as the wrap-around bumpers, headlight covers, spot lights, and side mirrors all have a mirror like finish. Imperfections include some cracking paint in numerous places, bubbling throughout, a drip stain, a sizable crack in the roof paint, some de-plating on the bumper, deglazing on a mirror, and a missing side mirror. Interior Black and white custom door panels set the tone and bring in some of the pinstriping and while both doors reveal use on the white panels especially, they are intact and functional. White leather bucket seats from a Thunderbird are used up front with power functions and the rear bench matches in color and condition which shows some slight discoloration. Up front, the hot rod steering wheel fronts a dash that mixes old and new with a classic center speedometer and surrounding gauges, a Kenwood AM/FM/CD player, a triple Sunpro gauge pod, and an added fuel gauge. A chrome propeller shaped trim plate holds a center clock and is a bold addition to the flat black and pinstriped dash. A tall shifter lives in the center console along with cupholders all over black carpet and below a white headliner and Thunderbird sunroof. The trunk holds a fuel cell. Drivetrain Appropriately chromed out is the 302ci V8 under the hood with some custom airbrushing and yes, more pinstriping! It's fueled by a 4-barrel carburetor and is mated to a C4 3-speed automatic transmission sending power to the Ford 8.8 rear. Power steering and power brakes are on board. Undercarriage Generally clean underneath with some surface rust and residual oil about. The dual exhaust runs through Smithy mufflers before sectioning their way to find an exit through fin-like chrome tips. Four wheel power disc brakes brings this car a modern spec and independent suspension is at both ends with Macpherson struts in front and coil springs in back.  Drive-Ability We hop in this somewhat sinister ride and put the 302 to the test around the loop where it runs, stops, and handles well. The chopped top creates a unique frame of visibility but it doesn't take long to get used to it and has a cool factor not achieved by many mods. Meanwhile, we find the horn, speedometer, odometer, sunroof, and wipers are not working but all other functions work as intended. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase. This is one wild ride that has some modern touches assuring that your cruise night experiences or quick ice cream runs will be comforta
