45,605 miles
1975 Dodge Charger Daytona If you wanted to emulate your favorite NASCAR driver by buying a '75 Dodge Charger, you would have been out of luck. Turns out, the unique new body design with its vertical nose and square edges was bypassed by NASCAR which kept the more streamlined '74 body style, one which Richard Petty favored. Chargers were moving from sporty rides and leaning more towards personal luxury cars and 1975 epitomized the start of that direction, sharing many characteristics with the Chrysler Cordoba. For consignment, a 1975 Dodge Charger Daytona with a title verified 45,605 actual miles and a numbers matching drivetrain. These well optioned cars were produced in limited numbers, in fact, only 283 1975 Dodge Charger Daytonas were produced, and this one is a prime example. ***Due to modifications of the emissions control devices installed by the manufacturer, please check your local, state, and federal laws to determine if this vehicle is applicable for use on public highways in your area.***  Exterior Most of the 283 cars produced were patterned as this one, with Lucerne Blue Metallic over Silver Cloud Metallic two tone with the colonnade window and surrounding C-pillar taking the silver over the roof while leaving the cabin framed in blue. A uniquely shaped trunk lid also splits the colors and is flanked by inset tail lights with dual bands of red in silver bezels over a complex contoured chrome bumper. In front, the shape of the sheet metal conforms to the dual light configuration reminiscent of a Stutz Blackhawk or Jags of old. 15-inch Mopar Rally wheels are wrapped in 225/70R15 tires with a late 2020 date code and appropriately, letters out. Overall the car is in fantastic condition. Imperfections include touched up scratches, minor inclusions, various chips including on the rocker, some bubbling rust in the door jamb and on the dogleg, a rear fender, and a liner bit of corrosion on a front fender, and a scratch in the bumper filler. Interior This is a strikingly handsome interior beginning with the blue door panels and their plastic burlwood insert and plush carpeted lower panel and both doors present nicely. Tall blue vinyl bucket seats feature Chesterfield button tufting and both front and rear seating is impeccable, including the center armrest. A blue steering wheel fronts an instrument cluster framed with filigree and burlwood trim plate over simple gauges, basic switchgear, and an AM/FM radio and it's all in great shape. That custom dash pad cover embroidered with the car's name does cover a roughly repaired wishbone shaped crack and linear crack on the actual pad. The deep pile carpet that covers the floor is protected by vintage style blue rubber mats, the patterned headliner is in great shape, and the trunk is nearly flawless. Drivetrain Under the hood is the numbers matching 360ci V8 with a 2-barrel carburetor and it's mated to its numbers matching A727 Torqueflite 3-speed automatic transmission. Power is routed to the 8 ¼ rear and power brakes, power steering, and air conditioning are on board. Undercarriage The stainless steel exhaust takes center stage here with an X-pipe midway and two shimmering Magnaflow mufflers leading to chrome tips out back. There are no catalytic converters on board. For brakes, we have power disc up front and power drum in the back and suspension is torsion bars coupled with leaf springs in back. There's some typical surface rust and oxidation underneath but nothing that compromises the solid underpinnings. Drive-Ability The big V8 starts up without issue and bellows a pleasing exhaust note out back. On the test loop, it provides good power, straight tracking, and 70's style interior comfort and class. We note the A/C is not working but all other functions operate as they should. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at
