Good documentation from 1977 to present is included in the sale. Also included is the build sheet and it still has the original factory inspection stickers on the firewall and hood blanket. Documentation verifies milage is accurate at 75,782.
In 2021 mechanical repairs were performed and it has been a nice summer driver since that time. Original interior and conv top are in excellent condition. The engine has never been rebuilt or removed from the Cougar. Engine runs excellent with no smoke, no oil consumption and no leaks. Transmission shifts correctly with no leaks. The original power top works. The sequential turning signals operate correctly. The headlight covers are original vacuum control and operate correctly. All four torque boxes are solid with no rust. Doors, fenders, quarter panels, trunk drop off show no rust. No signs that it has ever been in an accident.
2021 mechanical repairs and part replacement:
Points, spark plugs, Alternator, belt & hoses.
Fuel system cleaned with new rubber components and carburetor rebuilt.
Complete new brake system, brake booster, master cyl, all brake lines, calipers, rotors, wheel cylinders.
Complete new exhaust system from manifolds back.
New shocks, New tires
Correct new NOS hubcaps installed.
All fluids were changed.
2025:
New water pump installed. Original water pump is in a box in the trunk if the next owner wants to rebuild it.
