1969 Mercury Cougar XR-7 2-Door Hardtop Rare and beautifully presented 1969 Mercury Cougar XR-7 finished in its desirable two-tone Dark Ivy Green and Light Green color combination, believed to represent of just a hsndfull of 1969 XR-7 production. This Cougar was repainted approximately 5 years ago and features the optional white padded vinyl top. The dark green leather interior is in excellent condition with bucket seats, floor-shift console, seat belts, clean headliner, and the XR-7 gauge package including tachometer and analog gauges. The AM/FM radio and Clock work . Manual windows operate smoothly. Powered by its original factory 351 Windsor V8 paired with the original 3-speed automatic transmission, this Cougar runs and drives very well. The engine recently received a major reniuld and tune-up, and the transmission shifts solidly with a working passing gear. Factory power steering works properly, and the power disc brake system has been updated with a new booster, master cylinder, hoses, and related components. factory air conditioning car The hidden headlight/grille mechanism functions very well. The car currently rides on 14-inch ET Mag wheels with nearly new radial tires. Chrome and stainless trim are in excellent condition.
