A 1940 Cadillac LaSalle coupe is primarily identified as part of the Series 52, often called the "Special" or "torpedo-bodied" series, which was the premium, high-style line for LaSalle's final year. It is highly regarded for its refined, aerodynamic styling, which includes a narrow grille and integrated headlights.

This 1940 Cadillac LaSalle Coupe Restomod is being sold for its owner on consignment (flat fee, not a percentage) by John Haigler at Haigler Motors, 13190 Hwy 155 South, Tyler, TX 75703.

The car has been owned by the same SENIOR CITIZEN/NON-SMOKER since 2012. He’s to the point that he’s not able to care for the maintenance for the car, hence the sale. It comes dressed in a custom painted metallic purple with medium grey leather interior. The bumpers have been deleted for a clean, aero shape. A 500 HP Eldorado engine was added, which makes for a fun ride. I’ve driven the car and found that it starts readily, idles smoothly, shifts positively, runs well (good power) and gets more than a fair share of thumbs up from passersby. The car could be used as a weekend driver or a show car, depending on your preferences. It’s definitely one of a kind and can’t be accurately compared to other vehicles.
