We purchased this vehicle from its long-term owner of over 24 years in San Diego. He purchased the car from the dealership in 2004 and carefully maintained and pampered it throughout his ownership.
Finished in the highly desirable color combination of Speed Yellow over Black leather, this is a final-year 1998 993 Carrera S, one of approximately 1,800 C2S models built for North America. Enthusiast estimates suggest only a small percentage were finished in Speed Yellow, making this an especially rare and desirable specification.
Factory options include hard-back Sport Seats, Limited Slip Differential (LSD), Motor Sound Package, Sport Suspension (M030), cruise control, sunroof, supple leather seats, and more.
The car retains its matching-numbers engine and transmission and comes with a Porsche Classic Technical Certificate, original option sticker, extensive service documentation, books/manuals, concours award trophies, certificate of authenticity, original air compressor, tool kit, and more.
Mechanically, the vehicle runs and drives excellent. I personally drove it 8 hours back to Monterey, and it performed flawlessly. The engine sounds excellent and delivers strong power.
