2012 Chevrolet Camaro 2SS Convertible Credit Chevrolet though, for designing a Camaro that so perfectly captures my, (and so many others'), child-like wonder and enthusiasm for cars. This muscle car has been to the gym, picked up a supercharger, and now delivers a dyno proven 650+ horsepower. Exterior If it was only Summit White, you'd have a good looking Camaro. But this one is augmented with some tasty embellishments beginning with the wide orange stripes over the hood and decklid, surely an homage to the 1969 Z11 Pace Car. Then there are black wheels, all 20 inches of them wrapped in ZR rated tires and hood heat extractors that, unlike the ornamental units of the first gen Camaro, are actually functional. A clean white face is contrasted by the black grilles, both the upper and lower while in back, a flow through band is fit between the bumper and white diffuser. The black canvas top and its glass window are in great shape and so is the paint and trim. Imperfections include a few chips, scuffs, and chin scrapes. Interior Black door panels feature a glossy orange insert and orange stitching on the leather armrest and both doors present cleanly. The bucket seats are a vibrant display of orange leather with surrounding black and the continuation of orange stitching. SS is embroidered on the headrests and all four seats, front and rear, are in superb condition. Between the seat, a styling bar, also in orange, bridges the cabin for an extra sporty look when the top is down. Up front, an orange band across the dash offers contrast to the black gauges, silver frames, and more black leather with matching stitching. The center stack is a complex array of switches, screen, gauges, and dials and an AM/FM/CD player is integrated into the cluster. The shifter and center console are spotless as is the black carpet below. The fully finished trunk also affirms the car's low mileage. Drivetrain Under the hood is a 6.2 liter L99 V8 with BTR heads and ARP head bolts, a TVS 2300 supercharger, BTR L59 cam, methanol injection, an SLP 2.9 supercharger pulley, and all tuned by East Coast Supercharging. Fuel is routed through a ZL1 pump and 1050cc injectors and power is driven through a 6L80E 6-speed automatic transmission to the limited slip rear differential with 3.60 gears with Driveline Specialties 1000hp axles. Headers are on board. All good for 650+ horsepower. Undercarriage Clean conditions are found on the bottom side where dual exhaust comes from the headers and is free flowing from the high flow cats back, exiting through enlarged chrome tips. Power disc brakes are on all four wheels and the fully independent suspension includes Machperson struts up front and 4.5 link in back. Drive-Ability As soon as we turn the key, we know this is not your run of the mill Camaro SS. And once it's out on the test loop, the fully streetable pony car exhibits obvious power underfoot, smooth straight tracking, and more than acceptable turn ins and braking. All functions on this low mileage drop top operate as they should and it's off to the showroom for this one! While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase. When 400 horsepower isn't enough, it's time to head to the garage gym, take a few supplements, pump some iron, ring some kettlebells. You'll emerge stronger, faster, and a little bit misbehaved. You'll go from a fun weekend ride to street warrior with some subtle exterior hints to what's under your muscle shirt. In the gym, this might be referred to as a specimen.
