Clad in the stunning Caledonian blue with a white roof and Alpine windows, Car Cave found this 2000 Land Rover Defender 90 in Italy’s Mediterranean climate. Black fender flares, black Land Rover mud flaps, and black Land Rover OEM wheels complete the exterior. The 5 cylinder Td5 engine is paired with a 5 speed manual transmission, and a locking center differential for additional off-road capacities. With simple and strong features, this Td5 diesel Defender is a Land Rover through and through - it’s ready for adventure and eager for the road.

The clean gray interior seats six total. The front hi-backed seats are upholstered in a gray vinyl, and the footwells are covered in a black Land Rover rubber floormat. A locking cubby sits between the two front seats. Under dash air conditioning keeps the air cool even on the hottest expeditions, and under dash speakers connect to the Panasonic CQ-C1415N radio with CD and MP3 capacities. A 12v power outlet sits in the dash as well, below the vintage ash tray. Interior dome lights and sun visors are practical additions for the practical interior.

The rear compartment seats four on bench-style jump seats, complete with lap belts. Both benches fold up, and the floor is covered in a black rubber mat, so the rear can be used for passengers or storage. The full-sized rear tire is attached to the back door, which also sports a rear windshield wiper and a fold-down step to allow easy access to the trunk.

Car Cave recently performed around $12,000 of maintenance and refurbishments on this vehicle. From an oil change, air filter change, complete brake service, glow plug service, and wheel update to refurbishing the passenger door lock, updating the shocks and sway bar bushings, air conditioning evac and recharge, fan speed control refurbishment, a rebuilt transfer case; Car Cave has gone over this vehicle with a fine-toothed comb.
