Cooling was addressed as part of the swap with a Griffin performance aluminum radiator, electric fans and shroud, a new coolant overflow reservoir, and fresh upper and lower hoses.The accessory drive was reworked to suit the new engine, with a Powermaster 175-amp alternator, a new power steering pump and pulley kit, and new engine brackets and belts. Engine electrical was sorted with Painless wiring components, a VDO oil pressure gauge, and a Painless 185-degree temperature sender, with the harness dressed in Techflex sleeving for a clean install. Underneath, the rear drum brakes were serviced with new shoes, wheel cylinders, adjusters, and hardware, and the front wheel bearings were replaced.
