31,620 miles
This 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle is a professionally built, no-expense-spared restomod that combines classic muscle car styling with modern chassis engineering and exceptional craftsmanship. Completed in 2010 and driven approximately 1,195 miles since completion, this Chevelle remains exceptionally well preserved and presents as a much newer build. Power comes from a custom-built Ashcraft Marine 632 cubic inch Big Block Chevrolet V8 topped with an 850 CFM Brawler carburetor and supported by an MSD Pro Billet distributor, MSD 6AL-2 ignition system, Hooker headers, March Performance serpentine drive system, Be Cool Show & Go aluminum radiator, and dual electric cooling fans. The engine is paired with a TH400 automatic transmission featuring a reverse-pattern manual valve body and Hughes 10-inch 3000 stall converter. Power is transferred through a Ford 9-inch rear axle equipped with 3.90:1 gears and a limited-slip differential.
The foundation of this build is a Street Rod Garage chassis featuring tubular front suspension, a triangulated 4-link rear suspension, QA1 coilovers, Flaming River rack-and-pinion steering, and Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors. The detailed undercarriage reflects the same level of craftsmanship found throughout the vehicle. The engine compartment is beautifully finished with smoothed and painted surfaces, braided plumbing, polished components, and Eddie Motorsports hood hinges. Fuel delivery is handled by an Aeromotive fuel system and Rick’s stainless steel fuel tank. Inside, the Chevelle retains its classic muscle car character while benefiting from tasteful upgrades including Classic Instruments gauges, a tilt steering column, Intro billet steering wheel, and Hurst shifter with reverse lockout. Finished in bright red with black stripes, the body and paint present exceptionally well. The stance, wheel fitment, panel alignment, and overall execution give the car a timeless appearance that has aged remarkably well. Accompanied by extensive build receipts, this Chevelle represents an extraordinary opportunity to acquire a professionally built custom muscle car that would be extremely difficult to duplicate today. The title reflects 31,620 actual miles. The current odometer, installed as part of the restoration and custom build completed in 2010, displays approximately 1,195 miles accumulated since completion of the build.
