Absolutely Beautiful 1950 MG YA Saloon. Left Hand Drive.
You can not look at this car and not SMILE!
Restoration done by a Maryland collector from 2008-2018.
1250 cc in-line 4 with dual carburetors.
4 speed manual shift.
Independent front suspension. The YA model's independent suspension was a first for MG and incorporates coil springs, while the solid rear axle rides on semi-elliptical leaf springs. Hydraulic lever-arm shocks are utilized all around, and steering is via rack & pinion.
Stainless steel exhaust.
Sliding Sunroof. Windshield cranks open for ventilation.
Beautiful Paint, Glass, Chrome, Upholstery. Mahogany wood dash and Art Deco trim throughout the interior. All of the gauges work, including the cool temp gauge over the radiator.
Has the "trafficator" illuminated turn signals.
Obligatory picnic basket & blanket in the trunk.
Built in Jackall jacking system featuring 4 hydraulic rams that can be activated via a pump on the firewall,, the pump leaks but pretty neat nevertheless.
Centrally hinged doors. NOTE: They all latch properly, however in the video some of them were not closed all the way.
I can't overstate how stunning this car appears in person,, incredibly photogenic,, would make an ideal wedding car.
