1990 Kawasaki KSR-1 – JDM Import | 25,549km
The KSR-1 was Kawasaki's tiny, mighty answer to Japan's "Superbikers" craze of the late 80s — small-displacement pocket bikes built with real performance hardware and a healthy dose of attitude. It was inspired by the bosozoku legacy, and many of these little bikes were outfitted with neon lights, custom exhausts, and retro styling — a scene this KSR-1 was born right into.
Despite its mini proportions, this thing punches above its weight — a 2-stroke 49cc single, front and rear disc brakes, and a 6-speed transmission, which is a genuinely unusual amount of gearbox for a bike this size.
25,549km on the clock and it's wearing that mileage well — this is a fun, rare little JDM oddity that's as much a piece of Japanese minimoto culture as it is a ride.
