2008 Ford Mustang Bullitt The Mustang Bullitt tributes have been produced by Ford in the fourth, fifth and sixth generations meaning you can find a 2001 Bullitt, a 2008-09 Bullitt, and a 2019-20 Bullitt. They can trace their DNA to a single car; a dark green 1968 fastback Mustang used in the film and sold at Mecum in 2020 for 3.7 million dollars. For consignment, a 2008 Ford Mustang title verified 24,807 actual miles. Bullitt #5115 is one of 4,377 made in 2008 with Dark Highland Green Paint, another 1,426 were black. Two things are true here at the mall. First, when Bullitts arrive, they are almost always super low mileage and pampered and second, they sell fast. Therefore, if there's even the slightest interest, we encourage you to make like a bullet and fly to the phone! Exterior The '08 model shows some design restraint while still paying tribute to the original 1968 movie car. A black mesh grille is devoid of the iconic chrome pony and is accented by a satin aluminum frame that is a throwback to the 1968 Mustang but also does a splendid job of framing the gap next to the proper Dark Highland Green. In the back we find an understated deck lid with a low key spoiler and a circular faux gas cap/badge that shows Ford Bullitt on a panel that mirrors the grille, flanked by three part tail lights. Dual exhaust tips boldly emerge from the lower bumper and 18-inch argent Bullitt wheels wrapped 235/50ZR18 rubber with an early 2022 date code. Imperfections include some chips, surface level scratches and scuffs, a few chin scrapes and some curb rash and clearcoat spidering on the wheels. Interior Bullitt engraved sill plates are met with attractive gray door panels that utilize molded plastic and leather inserts, the driver's side showing some peeling as typical for this generation. Inside, beautiful high backed charcoal leather buckets topped with headrests, all in fantastic condition as are the foldable 2 plus 2 seats in back. A center console runs through the buckets and houses a satin aluminum trim piece that surrounds the white ball Hurst shifter. As it rises to the dash center, we have the A/C panel along with an AM/FM/CD radio. Under the black textured dash cover and among the machine spun aluminum front are two large round deep set gauges, somewhat retro in design, with a central gauge cluster, analog with the exception of the digital odometer readouts. Black carpet and a formed felt headliner all is tight and clean below and above, and a finished trunk has the requisite contoured gray panels and remains spotless. Drivetrain A strut tower brace bridges the bay where you'll find the 4.6 liter 3 valve V8, rated at 315 horsepower and mated to the Tremec 3650 5-speed manual transmission. Ponies are routed to the Ford 8.8 in back with 3.73 gears and TracLoc. This engine has an Accel Flash tune installed. Undercarriage Driveshaft and rear axle surface rust are seen on cars with half this mileage, so it's no surprise we find it here on an otherwise spotless underside. Even some pencil marks are still visible. The dual exhaust runs through original mufflers and exits via aggressive polished tips and power disc brakes occupy all four corners. Suspension consists of Macpherson struts up front and a 3 link with coil springs and a panhard bar in back, robust enough to take this thoroughbred around turns. Drive-Ability True to form, this V8 Mustang does everything well, beginning with providing a comfortable perch for driver and guests, fantastic power and acceleration, and very good handling characteristics. It's also no surprise that all functions work on this pampered green pony and awaits the next owner to saddle up. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase. Even if you're not a fan of the film, there's something special about Dark Highland Green paint and accompany
