The Story of “Shirley”
This Impala is affectionately known as **“Shirley,”** a name chosen in honor of Alisa’s favorite aunt. The name gives the car a personal identity and reflects the meaning it has held for the family beyond its performance and show history.

Shirley was created to be more than a restored classic. The build combines the long, flowing profile of Chevrolet’s 1965 full-size hardtop with a carefully selected collection of performance, suspension, braking, electrical, and interior upgrades.

At the center of the build is a twin-turbocharged 383 stroker V8. The engine is supported by upgraded cooling, fuel delivery, ignition, and exhaust components, while the 700R automatic overdrive transmission provides a practical cruising gear for road use.

The full air-ride suspension allows Shirley to sit low for display while also providing adjustable ride height for driving. Global West suspension components, power steering, Baer brakes, and an electric brake booster further modernize the Impala’s road manners.

The exterior is finished in a custom red blend described by the owners as combining colors inspired by 1976 Ferrari Red and 1976 Honda Red. The paint is complemented by staggered American Racing wheels, polished engine components, and a detailed engine compartment.
