Born during the closing years of Chevrolet's celebrated third-generation C/K run, this 1985 Chevrolet Pickup carries the unmistakable sheet metal enthusiasts now call the Squarebody. Although Chevrolet officially referred to these trucks as the Rounded Line, their crisp proportions created one of the most recognizable silhouettes in American truck history. The 1985 model also received the final grille redesign used before the C/K name transitioned to R/V, giving this year a distinct place in the lineage. Chevrolet C/K history This gray driver-quality pickup has moved far beyond its work-truck beginnings. Its built 350ci V8 starts with a Dart SHP block packed with an Eagle forged crank, Eagle H-beam rods, SRP Pro domed pistons, and a stout 12.9:1 compression ratio. A Bullet custom-ground 4/7 swap cam, Comp Cams roller valvetrain, and port-matched Brodix Track 1 aluminum heads give the small-block the breathing capacity and attitude expected from a serious high-rpm combination. Up top, a Weiand aluminum intake and Holley 950-cfm E85 carburetor handle induction, while full MSD ignition lights the mixture. Long-tube headers feed a custom side-exit dual exhaust, creating the kind of soundtrack that makes subtlety completely irrelevant. A CVF serpentine system, Champion eight-quart oil pan, Melling Sharktooth oil pump, and aluminum finned valve covers complete an engine bay built for both function and visual punch. Power runs through a David Watson-built Turbo 350 automatic controlled by a B&M shifter and backed by a Freakshow 4,500-stall converter. A 3.73 Posi rear axle, CalTracs, and massive 295/55R15 Mickey Thompson drag radials mounted on Weld Racing wheels help turn all that small-block aggression into forward motion. Four-wheel disc brakes with Hydroboost assistance and power steering provide the control needed to match its straight-line hardware. Inside, black bucket seats, a custom console with cupholders, a billet steering wheel, Intellitronix gauges, and a two-gauge pod give the cabin a purposeful street-machine feel. LED headlights, a rear roll pan, folding bed topper, and bed-mounted fuel cell finish a package that respects the Squarebody's blue-collar roots while delivering a genuinely uncommon level of purpose-built performance.
