The fifth generation of the 911 or internally called the 996 was built from 1997 until 2004 and would be the first time Porsche would break from its long standing "Air Cooled" design and move to a "Water Cooled" engine, which would take some purists a few years toget behind. It was a complete break m mechanically but the overall design was still very much 911. The design and development would also be shared with the first generation Boxster. This particular car has just had a complete fresh service along with the coveted IMS Bearing fix along with several other items that get replaced while doing the fix. This car also has been properly serviced for a long time with records and receipts to show for it. This was a Southern vehicle spending time in FL and TX and not moving North to MI until 2025. The car has never seen a winter and shows very nice underneath for a 24 year old car. The mileage is in line for what I would call a secondary use vehicle and you can tell with the three ring binder that this car was loved. This car starts right up, idles perfectly, absolutely excellent sounding exhaust note and goes down the road as it should with excellent power through all gears. The Black paint has some minor cosmetic issues but still shows very nice. This 996 in addition to coming with receipts and service records has its original owners manuals, factory keys, original window sticker and clean carfax.
