Note that this time capsule example represents the debut year of the new generation LT1 that cranked out 300 horsepower, fifty more than the previous year's C4. As such, these were quick and fast Corvettes, with the 0-60 mph sprint done in just 5 seconds with a top speed approaching 165 mph.
