The Volvo 1800 S is a stylish Volvo sports car. This car was made famous by two people. The first was Roger Moore of James Bond fame. He drove one in his series The Saint from 1962 to 1969 and also drove one for his personal car. The second was Irv Gordon, a New York school teacher, who drove his 1800 S over 3.25 documented miles before his death at 78, in 2018.
A complete restoration was completed in July of 2020 that included:
A. Body taken to bare medal, old body work replaced or repaired as necessary; painted with PPG Concept, sanded & buffed, all trim removed, refurbished or replaced with new.
B. Engine overhauled to include; new pistons, rods, rings, bushings, etc., Valve job, Cam shaft kit, Water pump, Timing gear kit, Oil pump, Valve cover,
C. Electronic ignition with new plugs, coil, distributor cap, ignition cable, battery
D. Solid state electronic fuel pump, mechanical pump is still functional
E. New windshield and molding, rear window molding, side window chrome and molding
F. Wheels restored, new chrome hub caps, brakes overhauled
G. New battery, suspension parts, seals & gaskets, hoses & clamps
This west coast car was a very good driver that has been taken to the next level. lots of high definition pictures and video's on website.
Fully documented restoration with all invoices included. Older documentation included that came with the car when I purchased it.
NOTE: This Volvo has the very dependable (4) Speed Manual Transmission with all (4) gears being synchronized. Both the Transmission and the Laycock Overdrive unit have been serviced and are both in excellent working order.
