I wish I could dictate items taken from a sheaf of invoices and read from a long history, But can't. Got this car from a friend in Virginia who got it in a trade....so I can represent is the product of my own examination and testing.
Excellent body with very good deep green paint, a complete professional chrome bumper conversion, excellent floors with no sign or rust, runs and drives very well, 150-155 psi compression in every cylinder, 75 psi oil pressure at operating temperature, no smoke hot or cold, AND has perfect working overdrive. Something only around 15% of Bs had and a wonderful addition for quieter, more comfortable highway cruising. Hit 3,500 rpm on the highway, hit the switch and watch the revs drop to 2,800. Nice.
Brand new convertible top, all new interior with early looking low back seats, haven't (yet) cleaned the engine bay but can see very good wiring, and everything works electrically. And has a brand new set of premium Minilite style alloy wheels. And even a full tonneau cover.
It runs well, doesn't seem to have any issues, and IF a buyer wishes, we can convert to wire wheels, dye the interior in a light tan or deeper Camel, a/c, whatever one wants....we can do.
And as a later model MGB, has power assist for the disc brakes, later safety equipment, a more powerful engine with twin SU carbs, better manifolds, and can be lowered (easily) to pre 1975 ride height. An excellent car as it sits OR a wonderful starting point for an even better car.
