A beautiful example.........
New paint (base coat, clear coat acrylic, hand wet sanded and buffed), . Certainly amply good for a low key show. Very good original chrome bumpers no parking lot dings, no peeling, very good convertible top and full tonneau, interior is excellent in Camel, new interior panels and carpets, and with what appears to be a new wood dashboard and a new wood steering wheel. Dash pad and underneath panels are all excellent with no cracks leading one to suspect it might very well have been garaged much of its life. And only 86,000 miles since new (averaging 1,700 miles a year)
Underneath, original floors are excellent, no signs of patching or repair, no undercoating, no cracks, very well preserved as is the chassis.
Test drive: strong and smooth performance, zero smoke, 75psi oil pressure when warm, no rear suspension clunks, quiet valves, carbs seems to be in very good condition and properly tuned, no issues with clutch, gearbox, brakes, steering, etc
AND............has perfect working overdrive, the most expensive and desirable single option on these cars. Provides a very usable 'fifth gear' for highway cruising.
Wiring and electrics appear to be in good condition, everything works (original radio, wipers, lights, gauges, etc) and it was pleasurable in our road tests.
If you want a nice classic sports car that is also a great highway cruiser, hard to beat a rust free, freshly painted TR6 with overdrive.....in a lovely color combination.
