A superb example.......clearly owned and prepared by a skilled enthusiast. Or restored by a competent workshop.
Excellent body, went over the exterior with a magnet, no sign of plastic filler. What appears to be either new or perfect original floors......not `clean` and not `rust free` but perfect. 56,000 original miles, excellent door and panel fit, LOTS of new hardware (fender bolts, etc.) showing a thorough level of preparation.
Engine and transmission work perfectly, 70 psi oil pressure, no smoke, smooth and powerful, Weber carb, oil cooler. And electrically.....modern fuse boxes and fuses, a bank of relays, new wiring harness......this car has an entirely modern electrical system. Rebuilt brakes, all new wheel hubs and chrome knock offs, a good set of center lock wire wheels with new tubes and tires.
Top appears to be fairly new, has a full tonneau, a new retro stereo (has the appearance of a period AM radio but, in fact, a modern stereo). Look in the engine bay or lift the carpets in the trunk, all matching paint. In a world of `quick fix ups,` this particular MGB certainly gives the impression of a lot time, cost, and energy went into the project.
And all new hardware affixing the front fenders gives the impression this car was taken apart, painted, restored, and reassembled. And from every view, it is a beautiful classic MGB capable of many years of enjoyable use.
