The 1994 Jeep Cherokee represents the boxy, rugged character of Jeep's XJ platform, which was in its second and final generation. The Cherokee came with a choice of two engines - a 130-hp 2.5L inline-4 or a potent 190-hp 4.0L inline-6. Both engines could be paired with either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. Available in both 2-door and 4-door configurations, and with optional part-time or full-time 4WD, the Cherokee was renowned for its off-road prowess. Inside, the Cherokee featured an AM/FM radio and optional cassette or CD player, a signal of its pre-digital-era origins.
