2016 BMW i8 Overview

The 2016 BMW i8 is part of the first generation of BMW's innovative plug-in hybrid sports cars. It houses a compelling powertrain that includes a turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine and an electric motor, producing a combined 357 horsepower. Its all-wheel-drive setup couples a six-speed automatic transmission for the gasoline engine and a two-speed automatic for the electric motor. The BMW i8 boasts a highly futuristic design both inside and out. Infotainment options include a standard 8.8-inch display screen, navigation, a head-up display, and BMW's iDrive system. BMW's ConnectedDrive suite provides useful telematics services, including emergency SOS assistance and breakdown assistance.
