The 2016 GMC Canyon is part of the brand's second-generation of mid-size pickup trucks. It comes with two available engines: a 2.5L four-cylinder with 200 horsepower or a 3.6L V6 with 305 horsepower. Two transmissions are also offered: a 6-speed manual (standard on the base model) or a 6-speed automatic. All trims (SL, Base, SLE, and SLT) can be configured with either RWD or AWD. Safety features include forward collision alert and lane departure warning, while the infotainment system features a 4.2" or 8" touchscreen, IntelliLink software, Apple CarPlay, OnStar, and an available 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. The 2016 model year introduced an improved IntelliLink interface and additional active safety tech.
