The 2016 Hyundai Elantra is part of the fifth generation of the Elantra line and comes in four main trim levels: SE, Value Edition, Limited, and Sport. Engine options include a 1.8L four-cylinder engine producing 145 horsepower and a 2.0L four-cylinder delivering 173 horsepower, both mated to a 6-speed automatic or manual transmission. All models come standard with front-wheel drive. Notable safety features include electronic stability control, vehicle stability management system, and a suite of airbags. The 2016 model also offers an available 4.3'' touchscreen and optional 7'' navigation system. Additionally, models from this year offer tech highlights such as Bluetooth hands-free phone system and available Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. However, the 2016 model year brought only minor changes, as the last model year before the sixth generation was introduced in 2017.
