The 2016 Kia Soul EV is part of the first generation, launched in 2014 as Kia’s first ever fully-electric vehicle. It features a 109-hp electric engine with an EPA-estimated range of 93 miles on a single charge. The Soul EV comes in two trims: base and Soul EV+. A direct-drive transmission sends torque to the front wheels. Inside, standard tech includes an 8-inch touchscreen, navigation, Bluetooth, a 6-speaker sound system, a rearview camera, and UVO infotainment system that offers smartphone integration. For safety, the Soul EV features six airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, hill-start assist, and electronic stability control.
