The 2016 Lincoln MKC is a part of the car's first-generation lineup, which commenced in 2015. It's a compact luxury SUV that houses a standard 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine churning out 240 horsepower or an optional 2.3-liter turbo-four offering 285 horsepower. Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and come with front-wheel drive as standard, while all-wheel drive is optional. The 2016 MKC is available in four trims: Premiere, Select, Reserve, and Black Label. A highlight of the MKC is its quiet and well-equipped cabin, which features an 8-inch touchscreen with Lincoln's Sync 3 infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Safety features include antilock disc brakes, stability control, and front-seat side airbags, side curtain airbags, a driver knee airbag, and a rearview camera. Lincoln refreshed the MKC in 2016 with a new Sync 3 interface, replacing the much-criticized MyLincoln Touch system.
