The 2016 Mitsubishi i-MiEV is an EV compact hatchback model from the Japanese automaker, Mitsubishi. It's powered by a 49-kilowatt (66 horsepower) electric motor driving the rear wheels paired with a 16-kWh lithium-ion battery pack. It boasts a notably quick charge time of just six hours using a 240V charger. While its EPA-rated fuel economy equivalent is 112 MPGe, the i-MiEV's limited range of only 62 miles can feel restrictive. It comes in one trim level, ES, and standard features include automatic climate control, a 6-speaker sound system, heated front seats, and remote keyless entry. Notably absent, however, are advanced safety features that are increasingly standard in other 2016 vehicles such as forward collision warning and blind spot monitoring.
