The 2016 Toyota Highlander is a midsize crossover SUV known for its blend of practicality, comfort, and safety. Available in five trims - LE, LE Plus, XLE, Limited, and Limited Platinum, the Highlander offers a choice of a 185-hp 2.7L four-cylinder engine and a 270-hp 3.5L V6 engine, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. All trims except the base LE come standard with V6 powertrain and offer optional all-wheel drive. Infotainment features are housed on a 6.1 inches touchscreen that includes Bluetooth, voice recognition, and a complimentary subscription to Toyota's Entune App Suite. For safety, all Highlanders come with a rearview camera, and Toyota's Safety Sense Package, including adaptive cruise control, pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with steering assist, and automatic high beams, is available in higher trims.
