The 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV is a compact electric vehicle that started its first generation. It's equipped with an electric powertrain producing 200 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque, mated to a single-speed direct-drive transmission. It's a front-wheel drive, available in two trims: LT and Premier. The Bolt EV provides multiple active safety features including available front pedestrian braking, available lane keep assist with lane departure warning, and available forward collision alert. Notably, the infotainment system includes a 10.2-inch diagonal color touchscreen and an 8-inch diagonal driver cluster, and features like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. Noteworthy, Chevrolet broke new ground with the Bolt, which boasts an EPA-rated range of 238 miles—more than twice the range of most rivals. This makes the Bolt EV the first electric car targeted to the masses that breaches the 200-mile range barrier.
