The 2019 GMC Sierra 3500HD, a part of the truck's third generation, is a rugged heavy-duty pickup available in four trims: base, SLE, SLT, and the luxurious Denali. Equipments vary slightly with the Double Cab and Crew Cab styles, and drivetrain options include rear-wheel and four-wheel drive. Buyers have a choice between two V8 engines: a 6.0-liter gasoline version that generates 360 horsepower or a 6.6-liter Duramax turbodiesel pushing out 445 horsepower. Both powertrains are paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. The Sierra 3500HD is equipped with GMC Infotainment System, complete with a 7-inch or available 8-inch diagonal color touch-screen. Safety features include forward collision alert, lane departure warning, safety alert seat and rear vision camera. Changes for the 2019 model year are minimal, but they include the addition of a new high-definition backup camera on SLT, AT4, and Denali trims.
