The 2019 Hyundai Veloster, which began the model's second generation, is a uniquely styled hatchback with a three-door design. The Veloster comes with a 147-hp 2.0L 4-cylinder engine in the base model, or a more powerful 201-hp 1.6L turbo-four in the Turbo and R-Spec trims. There is also a high-performance Veloster N model with a 250-hp 2.0L turbo-four, or an optional performance package boosting output to 275 hp. A six-speed manual transmission is standard across all trims, with an optional six-speed automatic for the base and Turbo trims, and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic available exclusively for the Turbo. Key safety technology includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, and a driver attention monitor. The infotainment system features a 7-inch or optional 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and available navigation.
