The 2019 Nissan LEAF represents the second generation of Nissan's popular all-electric vehicle. It boasts a 40-kWh standard battery pack with a range of 150 miles, or a 62-kWh pack that extends the range to approximately 226 miles in the LEAF Plus model. Both options are front-wheel-drive and use an automatic transmission. The LEAF offers a 147-horsepower electric motor in base trim and a more potent 214 horsepower unit in the Plus. Standard tech includes Nissan's ProPilot Assist suite of safety features such as automatic emergency braking, and an infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Notably, LEAF Plus was a new addition for the 2019 model year.
