The 2020 Toyota Mirai is the second model year of the first generation of this innovative hydrogen fuel cell vehicle. It features a single electric motor that generates 151 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque, sent to the rear wheels through a single-speed direct drive transmission. The Mirai's standout feature is, of course, its hydrogen fuel cell powertrain, which emits nothing but water vapor and offers an impressive EPA-estimated range of up to 312 miles. However, it's also well-equipped with safety and convenience technology, with standard features including a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and a suite of advanced safety features called Toyota Safety Sense, which includes pedestrian detection, lane keeping assist, and dynamic cruise control. For 2020, the only major change is a slight reduction in the Mirai's range, down from 312 to 270 miles due to changes in EPA testing procedures.
