The 2021 Mercedes-Benz CLA is a four-door sedan, part of the second generation that was introduced in 2020. It offers two trims: the CLA 250 and the sport-oriented AMG CLA 45. The standard CLA 250 is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 221 horsepower, mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and is available in both front-wheel and all-wheel drive (4MATIC). The AMG CLA 45 gets a more powerful version of the same engine, dialed up to an impressive 382 horsepower. Inside, a pair of 7-inch screens come standard, one for the digital gauge cluster and one for the infotainment system, with the option to upgrade to a 10.25-inch screen. Mercedes' MBUX infotainment system is standard, offering Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. Safety features include forward-collision warning with automated emergency braking, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, and optional adaptive cruise control with semi-autonomous driving mode.
