The 2022 MINI Countryman is the brand's largest model, offering an engaging drive typical of a MINI but with more cargo and passenger space. The compact crossover is offered in four trims: Cooper, Cooper S, John Cooper Works, and the plug-in hybrid Cooper S E ALL4. Engine outputs range from a 134-hp three-cylinder in the base Cooper up to a lively 301-hp four-cylinder in the JCW variant. A six-speed manual transmission comes standard in most trims, while an eight-speed automatic is standard in the JCW and optional for others. Standard features include an 8.8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, and automatic high-beam headlights. For 2022, the Countryman gets a slight redesign, including a refreshed grille and new wheel designs.
