The 8th-gen 2023 Hyundai Sonata is a FWD sedan with four powertrains across eight trim levels. They consist of a 2.5L inline-4 making 191 hp, turbocharged 1.6L four-cylinder producing 180 hp, turbocharged 2.5L I4 making 290 hp, or gas-electric hybrid that makes 150 hp. All three gas motors pair with an 8-speed automatic, while the hybrid works with a 6-speed auto. An 8-inch touchscreen with smartphone integration is standard.
