Attention all gearheads, car buffs, and auto aficionados, we’ve got a list of some 2025 movies you may want to check out. These aren’t just any movies. They’re movies that either will or will likely heavily feature some awesome cars. We’ve looked at the set photos and we’ve been watching the trailers to pinpoint the movies that are bringing some impressive cars to the big screen. Whether it’s the cars themselves or the action sequences they’re involved in, this list is one to keep track of when you’re deciding whether to go to the theater or wait for the streaming release.

Your first chance at seeing some big screen big car moments is with the release of Marvel’s Captain America: Brave New World. The movie is set in Washington D.C., so we’re expecting to see several vehicles in background shots at various points throughout the movie. We know there will be a 2022 GMC Hummer EV pickup, a 2003 Cadillac Escalade, and some have even spotted a 1998 Dodge Durango in the movie trailers so far. It’s a super hero movie, so I’m not sure how many of the vehicles will survive the entirety of the movie.
A 2022 GMC Sierra Denali has been front and center for most of the trailers so far. It makes sense that Washington D.C. power players would be rolling around in a Denali. The Denali is also the vehicle that has taken the most damage of the bunch. Usually, though, there are five more units that come in as backup. I assume that the GMC logo is going to get a lot of screen time in certain parts of this movie.

If you’re looking for racing action in 2025, look no further than F1. The movie stars Brad Pitt as fictional Formula 1 racecar driver Sonny Hayes. Set in the 1990s, the movie covers a crash that forces the Hayes to retire. His contributions to racing aren’t over, though. He transitions into mentoring a younger driver. Despite the fictional story, F1 stars all ten real-life drivers, appearing as themselves. That, of course, includes Lewis Hamilton, Valtteri Bottas, and Pierre Gasly.
Needless to say, there will be some fast-paced scenes and a couple of wrecks. Just watching the trailer, you’ll get a look at how up close to the drivers the filmmakers actually got. If you liked Top Gun: Maverick, you’ll probably like this because it’s got the same director. To see these F1 visuals come to life, this definitely looks like the one movie of 2025 that must be watched on the big screen. There’s no other way to get the full, supercharged effect of F1 racing!

Trains, airplanes, motorcycles, boats, and super cars have all gotten a lot of screen time over the course of the entire Mission: Impossible film series. We covered a lot of them in our entry on Tom Cruise Movie Cars, so I have no doubt that there’s going to be several big moments in the final chapter of this story. The movie was filmed several years ago, we won’t see any newer 2024 or 2025 models. From the trailer and snippets that have been released so far, we’ve seen a 2020 Jeep Gladiator, a 2020 Land Rover Defender 110, a 2021 Toyota Hilux, and a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter.
I’m not sure how many cars will be prominently featured in the actual movie because the trailers also heavily showcase a submarine and some airplanes. It looks like they’ll both be big parts of the plot, but there’s no way a Mission: Impossible movie starring Tom Cruise ends without at least one car chase.

A Disney sequel to Freaky Friday has something for car enthusiasts to look forward to? Absolutely! We’ve seen some set photos from filming and this sequel involves some scenes in a cherry red 1969 SS Chevy Camaro convertible with a 396 cu-in V8 in it. I don’t know if the Camaro is being used in a car chase or if it’s just for a joy ride.
Whatever it’s being used for, this classic looks pretty impressive in photos and bystander video who were watching the movie being filmed. The red Camaro has a black racing stripe going up from the front bumper along the side to the back of the car.
At some point they must change vehicles because there are also set photos of the stars in a lifted yellow Ford Bronco convertible, too. This movie will apparently bring out the wild child in all of the characters.

Will the makers of Jurassic World: Rebirth revive the Wrangler? We certainly hope so, but the big difference this time around is that a lot of the movie is going to take place on an isolated island, not one with an active theme park, but one that the remaining dinosaurs ended up inhabiting. Were there ever any vehicles abandoned on this island? I guess we’ll find out this summer.
When it comes to blockbusters, Jurassic Park was a big one back in the 1990s. Who can forget the fully wrapped green, red, and yellow ‘92 Ford Explorer or the iconic Jeep Wrangler. That made our list of the 20 most iconic cars from non-car movies. The more recent Jurassic World trilogy showcased several vehicles, like the AM General HMMWV M1025, the ‘92 Jeep Wrangler, and a 2014 Mercedes-Benz Unimog, but the main character primarily rode a 2015 Triumph Scrambler throughout most of the three movies.
Release Date: July 2

We also caught some brief glimpses of a 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis, and Mack RD-688 truck. Chances are we’ll at least see other vehicles along the way in those two separate scenes. A new trailer, hopefully with more action scenes, should be coming out soon, too.
Another Marvel movie on the list and another safe bet that it will involve several scenes with vehicles that take some heavy damage. We’ve got an entire list on The Cars of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and it looks like we may need to add to it because we already know this movie is going to feature an AM General HHMWV M1025, stretched red ‘90s Lincoln Town Car, and a 2021 Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 in the trailer.
Release Date: May 2

There’s also I Know What You Did last Summer (July 18), a combination reboot/sequel. A 1997 BMW 328i was involved in a big scene-setting part of the original movie, so, if they’re recycling ideas, we could see a vehicle or two play a large part in the 2025 version, too.
Black Bag (March 14) is another spy movie that takes place, at least partially, in London. The trailer literally starts off with an opening clip where a Mercedes-Benz G-Class wagon is under attack, so it’s very likely we’ll see a few more scenes involving daring escapes, high speeds, and wrecked vehicles.
Other summer expected summer blockbusters include Superman (July 11) and The Fantastic Four: First Steps (July 25). These movies both involve superheroes who don’t exactly need to rely on ground transportation, so any vehicles in the movie are likely to be quick cameos than actual plot-driving moments. Still, a sharp eye might spot some fun cars in various scenes that will be set in New York City and the fictional city of Metropolis.
