The 2026 Nissan Rogue is a tech-forward compact SUV that blends comfort, efficiency, and family-friendly versatility into one well-rounded package.

The Rogue continues with Nissan’s 1.5L turbocharged three-cylinder engine, delivering approximately 201 hp and 225 lb-ft of torque. It’s paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) that prioritizes smoothness and fuel economy.
Most trims come with front-wheel drive, while all-wheel drive is standard on the Rock Creek trim and optional on all other trims except the base-level S trim.
The lineup suffers from a lack of a second powertrain option. The 1.5L engine is efficient, but we’d like to see a stronger powertrain capable of light towing. A plug-in hybrid version of the Rogue is expected soon, which will help it compete with other PHEV compact SUVs like the Ford Escape and Hyundai Tucson.

Inside, the Rogue features a spacious two-row layout with seating for five. Material quality is solid, with soft-touch surfaces and available leatherette or quilted leather upholstery on higher trims.
Rear legroom is a generous 43.3 inches, making it comfortable for both adults and children. The available panoramic moonroof adds natural light and enhances the cabin’s ambiance.
New for this year is the optional Dark Armor grade, based on the SV trim level. It adds a blacked-out exterior, 19-inch gloss black wheels, a panoramic moonroof, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel.
Cargo space is a strong point, offering 36.5 cu-ft behind the second row and up to 74 cu-ft with the seats folded flat. The available Divide-N-Hide cargo system is a thoughtful touch, allowing for flexible rear cargo configurations.

Technology in the Rogue is intuitive and modern. Base models come with an 8-inch touchscreen, while upper trims have a 12.3-inch display with crisp graphics and responsive menus. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and a Wi-Fi hotspot is available.
Nissan’s Safety Shield 360 is standard across the lineup, offering features like lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, and automatic emergency braking. Optional upgrades include a Bose premium audio system and ProPilot Assist for semi-autonomous driving. SiriusXM and NissanConnect subscriptions are available on select trims.

The base S trim starts at an MSRP of $28,790 and includes cloth upholstery, an 8-inch infotainment screen, and Nissan’s Safety Shield 360.
The SV trim is the sweet spot in the lineup. For a starting MSRP of $31,190, you get 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, a six-speaker audio system, and ProPilot Assist.
At an MSRP of $38,990, the Platinum trim tops the lineup with 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, quilted leather upholstery, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, and a premium Bose audio system.
Compared to rivals like the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4, the Rogue’s competitive pricing and strong tech features make it a compelling option. Nissan’s warranty includes 3 years/36,000 miles of basic coverage and 5 years/60,000 miles for the powertrain.
The 2026 Rogue is a well-rounded compact SUV that delivers comfort, technology, and value. Like the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4, it’s not the most thrilling to drive, but it remains one of the top-selling compact SUVs for a reason: it’s loaded with tech, offers ample cargo space, and provides a pleasant, if sedate, driving experience.
