Minivans have had some highs and lows over the past few decades, but there’s still a market for them. After all, how else are you going to get decent fuel economy, seat up to eight people, and still have some cargo space without paying Yukon or Suburban prices? The minivan fits the bill without breaking the bank.
While the designs have become more streamlined, the utility of minivans has remained the same. It has a purpose, and it gets the job done. Not only do these 2025 minivans get the job done, but they do it with modern tech and even some luxury.

The return of the Chrysler Voyager gives shoppers another option, specifically one that starts a little lower than the competition. Granted, you get what you pay for, so there’s not quite as many amenities, there’s only one trim level, and the 2025 Voyager isn’t available in all-wheel drive (AWD). Still, it’s got most of your standard infotainment, and it’s under $40,000. For the price, it’s not a bad buy. There’s just not enough here to warrant a higher spot on our list.

Where the Voyager leaves off, the 2025 Chrysler Pacifica picks up. It has a plug-in hybrid powertrain, three trim levels, the option for AWD, and more infotainment. It can be outfitted with Napa leather, a 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, and 10.1″ seatback-mounted touchscreen displays for second-row passengers. The fuel economy on the hybrid Pacifica is a combined 30 miles per gallon (MPG). The $42,000 price tag ensures more functionality and amenities than the Voyager, but, as you’ll see below, other competitors offer a little bit more for about the same price.

Some of the new features inside and out of the 2025 Honda Odyssey are enough to get spot number three here. The revised front grille gives a much more aggressive look. Inside, second-row seats can be quickly slid closer together or further apart. With 19 MPG in the city and 22 MPG on the highway, fuel efficiency isn’t anything too impressive. But the Odyssey does have some get-up-and-go with 280 horsepower from the 3.5-liter engine. A modest 9″ center touchscreen could be bigger. However, rear passengers do get two 12.8″ screens of their own. Driver assistance features are what you’d expect to find, with higher trims adding in front and rear parking sensors, a heated steering wheel, and rain-sensing wipers.

Next up, the 2025 Toyota Sienna makes a good impression with a few minor interior touches. Upgraded materials and a larger 12.3″ touchscreen certainly help update the cabin. The top-of-the-line Platinum trim even adds in a new vacuum and refrigerator. When you factor in 18 cupholders and 101 cu-ft of space with folded seats, you’re ready for a car full of people or enough space to haul some furniture. The Woodland Edition provides even more options with a lift kit and tow hitch rated for 3,500 lbs. The hybrid combination of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder and two electric motors work well to provide 245 horsepower and 36 MPG in the city and on the highway!

All of these vans have some great highlights, but the 2025 Kia Carnival earns the number one spot because it’s the most well-rounded of the bunch. There are highlights to take not of on all of these vans, but the 2025 Kia Carnival earns the number one spot because it’s the most well-rounded of the bunch. It doesn’t get incredible fuel efficiency numbers without the news hybrid system, but drivers at least get options between the two setups and five trims.
You can look at the powertrain, interior, the driver assists, and the warranties and find something to like. Whether it’s the hybrid system, heated seats and lumbar support, the head-up display and digital rearview mirror, or the 10-year/100,000-mile warranty, there’s something in there for everyone. More importantly, it’s affordable. Sure, you can go as high as you want to get the extras, but it starts at $36,500 and offers a lot for your money, even at the most basic trim level.
