What’s New for the 2022 Toyota Sienna?
The all-new fourth generation Sienna broke cover last year, so its still fresh for 2022 with sharp looks and hybrid-only powertrain. A Woodland Edition trim is added this year that sits 0.6” taller than its siblings and comes standard with all-wheel-drive (AWD) to better suit the active-lifestyle target demographic. It features trim-exclusive Cement paint and for each one sold, Toyota will donate $250 to the National Environmental Education Foundation. 2022 Toyota Sienna Powertrain
Every 2022 Toyota Sienna comes with a hybrid powertrain that combines a 189 hp 2.5L four-cylinder gas-powered engine with dual electric motors mounted on the front axle for a combined output of 245 horsepower and 288 lb-ft of torque. Selecting AWD, for between $500 and $2000 depending on trim, adds a third motor to the rear axle, but all models work with a 1.9 kWh Nickel Metal Hydride battery pack and continuously variable transmission.
Four-corner independent suspension ensures confident handling and XSE models feature an exclusive sport-tuned setup. Drivers can also select from Normal, ECO, EV, or Sport modes to modify powertrain programming based on driving style preference.
