Cars of Super Bowl LVIII

It’s the Chiefs versus the 49ers for this year’s big game! Check out what the biggest names from both teams are driving!

This Year it’s the “Swiftie Bowl”

Last year it was the “Kelce Bowl”, but this year the big game is being known as the “Swiftie Bowl” thanks to Travis Kelce’s other half. While most people are concerned on whether or not Taylor Swift will be in attendance and seen throughout the broadcast, we’re more interested in what some of the players will be pulling up to the game in. We’ve looked at the Chiefs’ players cars a couple times already (unfortunately), but their biggest stars have some new rides and there are a couple other garages we’ve gotten to know.

On the other side of the ball are the San Francisco 49ers who have one of the best defenses in the league and an offense run by the 2022 NFL Draft’s “Mr. Irrelevant”. There are plenty of high-profile names from the bay area football team, with some great cars. Let’s distract ourselves from the “Will Taylor Swift be there?!” talk dominating the event and look at the cars of Super Bowl LVIII.

Patrick Mahomes

Patrick Mahomes is looking to make his team out to be a dynasty after having visited the Super Bowl three times already and winning two of those appearances. Mahome’s garage has remained virtually the same after his big contract extension. It consists of a Ferrari 812 Superfast GTS, Ferrari F8 Tributo, Lamborghini Urus, Rolls-Royce Cullinan, and maybe the Genesis G70 from his first Pro Bowl. The newest addition to the quarterback’s collection is a custom Cadillac Escalade that features a powder blue interior upholstery and rear suicide doors. It’s a luxurious family vehicle that’s ideal for the two little ones he’s got riding in car seats.

Travis Kelce

Travis Kelce was already well-known as one of the best tight ends in football prior to this year, but becoming Taylor Swift’s other half has skyrocketed his fame to “New Heights”. The most popular football player in the world right now has a great car collection that includes a Rolls-Royce Phantom, Aston Martin Vanquish, Mercedes-AMG G 63, Holland & Holland edition Land Rover Range Rover, GMC Terrain, and the famous “Getaway Car” he was seen driving with Ms. Swift – a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible. New additions to Kelce’s garage include a Cadillac Escalade he’s been seen driving as well as the all-electric GMC Hummer EV truck.

Kelce continues to invest in RealTruck alongside his brother Jason Kelce, Dak Prescott, and even George Kittle (more on him below). The group of NFL stars have worked with the aftermarket truck outfitters on The Trucket List where they gift one-of-a-kind trucks like the Ford F-150 and GMC Sierra 1500 to deserving individuals that have helped in their communities and served their country. He also is part owner of a series of Club Car Wash locations, perfect for keeping all of his rides clean.

Rashee Rice

Rashee Rice is a rookie wide receiver out of SMU, but he’s proved early on that he can be a new weapon for Mahomes. Rice has joked about how his favorite Christmas present was a Mitsubishi Eclipse that made him feel like he was on Fast and the Furious, but his current rides are a Lamborghini Urus and Chevrolet Corvette C8. While the Urus is a sweet performance SUV, it can double as a family vehicle for Rashee since he’s a dad. The Corvette though is all for him to enjoy.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire

Last time I talked about Clyde Edwards-Helaire, he was a rookie running back restoring a 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass with his brother. I’m pleasantly surprised at how his garage has grown since then. Clyde has a nicely restomodded 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS convertible with a 427 CID small block engine under the hood. It’s so nice in fact, Castrol Motor Oil has teamed up with the Chiefs running back for some marketing alongside his Camaro. His garage also features a nice Fox Body Ford Mustang convertible he used for his engagement video, a 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS, a 1968 Chevrolet Impala convertible, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, and a Techart modified Porsche 911.

Justin Reid

Justin Reid was originally a fan of fast cars before being drafted by the Texans, but he’s become a truck guy after having lived in the Lone Star State. The safety still enjoys a nice truck even though he’s moved over to the Chiefs. He can be seen driving in Ford F-150s from time to time and even works with a local dealership where he helps promote Ford trucks and SUVs. Reid has also given away a Ford Edge to a family in need with the help of that same dealership.

I don’t typically look towards the NFL coaches when it comes to these kinds of articles, but I recently came across Andy Reid’s Ford Model A. The “Late 28” was originally purchased by his father for just $25. Reid held on to the Ford and eventually had it brought up to Green Bay after it had been sitting in his backyard for some years. Reid met with a group of hobbyists there who helped restore the vehicle piece by piece to its former glory. It’s a nicely restored example of the Model A and the coach’s connection to the vehicle makes it even better.

Brock Purdy

Brock Purdy was the very last pick of the 2022 NFL Draft, and not many players become much of anything in the NFL after being known as “Mr. Irrelevant”. However, Purdy is showing every NFL team out there that they missed out on something special. The young quarterback has been making waves as he helped lead the 49ers to this year’s Super Bowl, but he’s still on his late round rookie contract. That comes out to about $870,000 for this season, which is still a good chunk of change even after taxes, but the bay area isn’t cheap. Purdy is currently rooming with fellow 49er Nick Zakelj and has been driving a Toyota Sequoia. The Sequoia is a nice SUV, but Lucid helped the up-and-comer with a new set of wheels recently. Purdy has been seen driving an all-electric Lucid Air, which is probably a lot easier on commutes through the city than a full-size SUV.

George Kittle

George Kittle turned his large garage into an at home gym to the dismay of car fans, but he’s got a nice car and is involved in some great automotive causes. First, Kittle has a really nice restomodded 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 with a paint scheme fit for a 49ers player and a classic rumble that will have peoples’ heads turning. Kittle is also a part of the aforementioned RealTruck Trucket List in which he gifted his uncle, who is a veteran, a decked out ultimate fishing accessorized Ford F-150. Kittle has also given away a Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro as a part of his Catch the Cure foundation.

Deebo Samuels

Deebo Samuels is the 49ers gadget wide receiver that can go out wide or take the ball straight out of the backfield. That electric playing style translates to his taste in cars, a lot of which he enjoys showing off. He’s been seen with two different Lamborghini Aventadors, a Lamborghini Huracan, BMW i8, and two different C8 Corvettes. It’s hard to tell if they’re all actually his, but there are a few others we can connect to him for sure. First is a Land Rover Range Rover with an all-red interior that features his logo on the headrests. Next is a black Lamborghini Urus. And finally, his sweet blacked out Ferrari F8 Tributo with a blue accented interior. Deebo has also gifted his significant other a Land Rover Range Rover Sport, his mom an Audi Q8, and his little brother got a Dodge Challenger.

Christian McCaffrey

Christian McCaffrey was a long-time staple to the Carolina Panthers offense, but the team separated with the league’s top running back for a substantial picks package. Now, McCaffrey is acting as the final piece to the 49ers’ puzzle as he helps carry them to a Super Bowl. As for his garage, McCaffrey is a fan of blacked out vehicles and has been pretty happy with his collection. He first picked up a BMW 7 Series when he first joined the league. Then he added a Mercedes-Benz G Wagon to go with it before purchasing an Aston Martin DB11 and a Ford F-150 Raptor. He was originally said to be satisfied with his all-black garage but has since been seen with a new blacked out Land Rover Range Rover Sport.

Nick Bosa

Nick Bosa is one half of the Bosa brothers that have been terrorizing quarterbacks for years now. Nick Bosa can typically be found driving around San Fransisco or at a charging station in his Tesla Model S. His other ride he’s associated with is a Lexus IS 350 F Sport at his residence in Florida. Those are ok, but a big defensive lineman like him should get a fitting vehicle for themselves like a Ram 1500 or a Jeep Grand Wagoneer.

Kyle Shanahan

Since we looked at Andy Reid’s car, we may as well look at what 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan is driving around. Shanahan is one of the creative offensive minds that has been changing the way the game has been played around the league. He’s been seen arriving at Levi’s Stadium driving a Tesla Model S. A highly advanced car fitting for one of football’s greatest minds.
